Hope In Every Cup

11 years ago on a return flight from Buenos Aires, Jason Isaacs, Pastor of Hope City Church, had a thought: what could happen through a church that decided to be irrationally generous. Jason had only been the pastor for a few months but knew that God was calling him and the church to shift their emphasis from an inward focus towards generosity and outreach, and a dream was birthed to give away $1 million.

The church didn't know how they could accomplish such an ambitious goal with only 150 adults attending at the time, but little by little the church's attendance and heart for generosity grew, and the Louisville congregation has since given away over $500,000 to build orphanages, support missionaries, assist local families in need, and start new churches. As Hope City Church crossed the halfway point of their $1 million goal, they knew it was time to dream bigger.

Now 11 years later, what started as an idea on an airplane, has become a new coffee shop in downtown Shepherdsville. We have a dream of using 100% of Shiloh's profits to build new orphanages and churches around the world.

Formerly an abandoned duplex, the 2-story, 1800 sq ft shop, sits directly across from the courthouse at 291 S. Buckman St. It was completely renovated to create a place for people to meet, work, and rest, giving the inspiration for the name Shiloh's, which means, "A place of refreshing."

We believe hope, like coffee, is something to be shared. So why not bring them together to do something good in the world? Shiloh's Coffee is more than a drink, it's coffee with a cause. We like to say, 'There's hope in every cup.'"

The Shepherdsville location is just the beginning. We have a dream of opening 5 shops throughout the city of Louisville, with the hope of giving away over $100,000 of profit every year.
